Lacrosse: McCloskey's OT goal gives Tartans 6-5 win

Nick McCloskey fired in two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to send Scotia-Glenville over Amsterdam, 6-5, in a non-league boys’ lacrosse game Monday.

McCloskey added two assists for the Tartans, who also got two goals from Ben Connolly.

Francesca Gundrum and Sam Kreda each collected four goals in Emma Willard’s 11-9 Capital District Women’s Lacrosse League victory over Schenectady.

Marji Drohan topped the Patriots with four goals, while Breona Richmond contributed three goals.

Sally O’Toole poured in five goals to go along with four assists, and Tatiana Ensslin tacked on five goals and one assist to power Holy Names Academy over Hoosick Falls, 9-0.

Emma Morrissey and Lydia Knapp combined for seven goals as Glens Falls topped Greenwich, 12-3, in a Foothills Council match.

In another Foothills matchup, Mary Rahal struck for four goals to lead a balanced attack as Queensbury crushed Scotia-Glenville,

21-2.
