Four face aggravated drunken-driving charges
SARATOGA COUNTY State police made four arrests on aggravated drunken-driving charges in Saratoga County over three days.
According to a news release, the first incident came Thursday night in the Cumberland Farms parking lot at the corner of Geyser Road and Rowland Street in the town of Milton, where troopers responded to a complaint just before 10 p.m. Troopers said John G. Fox III, 48, of Ballston Spa, appeared to be intoxicated, and a breath test indicated he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.26 percent, more than three times the legal limit.
Fox was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving an uninspected motor vehicle. He was released on tickets to appear May 14 in Milton Town Court.
The next afternoon, troopers said they arrested Tina M. Farr, 46, of Stillwater, after finding she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.23 percent when she went to pick up her 12-year-old son up at Stillwater Elementary School.
Farr was charged with aggravated DWI and released on a ticket to appear May 8 in Stillwater Town Court.
Later in the day, troopers said they arrested Christina Steiger, 34, of Clifton Park, after she was involved in a two-car accident on Eastline Road in Ballston. Troopers said Steiger rear-ended another car as it slowed to make a left turn.
A breath test indicated Steiger had a blood-alcohol content of 0.23 percent, troopers said, and she was charged with aggravated DWI, following too closely and having an open container of alcohol in her car. She was released on a ticket to appear Wednesday due in Ballston Town Court.
Early Saturday, state police said they stopped Patrick J. Depace, 25, of Malta, after he failed to signal a lane change while driving on Route 9 in Malta. A breath test revealed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.18 percent, troopers said, and he was charged with aggravated DWI.
Depace was released on a ticket to appear May 22 in Malta Town Court.
