— Work will continue this weekend on the southbound side of the Twin Bridges carrying traffic over the Mohawk River between Exit 7 in Albany County and Exit 8 in Saratoga County.

The southbound lanes will be closed at 10 p.m. today and will re-open before the Monday morning rush hour.

The northbound bridge will carry two lanes of southbound traffic and one lane of northbound traffic during this period.

Travelers should expect heavy delays, consider alternate routes and adjust their travel plans if possible, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The shared bridge traffic pattern is expected to be in place on weekends, weather permitting, and end before Memorial Day weekend (May 25-27).
