High school lacrosse: Shenendehowa wins

Kelly Wall scored three goals, and Shenendehowa handed Alb­any Academy its first loss, 10-5, in a girls’ non-league.

Katie Kerner had two goals and two assists, and Rachel Picchi notched two goals to help the Lady Plainsmen (7-2) win their fourth straight contest. Emma Malicki paced the Bears (5-1) with three goals and an assist.

Academy moved up to No. 11 in the state Class C rankings this week.

Averill Park got four goals apiece from Morgan Lionarons and Sofi Sorriento in a 10-7 non-league victory over Emma Willard.

Xani Shultis led the Jesters with three goals, and Erin Hogan scored two.

Boys

Nick McCloskey piled up five goals and four assists, and Scotia-Glenville logged a second-half shutout in a 15-2 non-league win over Proctor of Utica.

Sam Carmola had two goals and three assists for the Tartans, and Zach Tripoli and Connor Flaherty both turned in four-point efforts.

Jake Smith scored a goal and assisted on seven of them to spearhead Guilderland’s 12-5 non-league win at Schenectady.

Stephen Polsinelli had five goals and an assist for the Dutchmen. Kwame Jarvis had three goals and an assist for the Patriots.

Saratoga Springs scored four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to seal an 11-5 non-league win over Foothills Council leader Queensbury.

Neil Murphy sparked the Blue Streaks with four goals. Ben Willows topped the Spartans (6-2) with four goals and an assist.
