If you do not need to jump through a myriad number of hoops to raise taxes then in essence you are making it easier to raise taxes by not having to go through the legislature. We should keep it as it is. Let the localities justify to the legislature why they cannot have the lowest sales tax in the state like Saratoga County has. Let the localities justify why they want higher taxes.
