— A Niskayuna man faces a felony for allegedly biting an officer in the finger as he tried to pull suspected baggies of drugs from the man’s mouth, authorities said.

Qasim K. Bradford, 34, is accused of biting city police Officer Christopher Semione in the finger, causing swelling, as Semione tried to pull drugs from the man’s mouth just before noon Friday at Chrisler Avenue, near Michigan Avenue, according to papers filed in court.

Police had just stopped Bradford in a car there and during the stop, Bradford allegedly tried to conceal six small baggies of crack cocaine in his mouth.

Later, as Bradford was being booked, another small baggie was found in Bradford’s mouth, according to papers.

Bradford faces one count each of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree assault, as well as two counts of tampering with physical evidence, all felonies.

Bradford also faces misdemeanor resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
