— The city's monthly open house will run today , beginning with a news conference at 10:30 a.m. at City Hall.

Mayor Gary McCarthy will explain the city's plans for renovating properties and release the list of properties recently taken by the city in tax foreclosures. Some of those properties are already available for sale, while others will be listed while contractors renovate them.

Buyers can purchase the houses during renovations and then have a say in how their house gets rebuilt.

Owners selling houses will hold open houses until 4 p.m. Vendors, including bankers and real estate brokers, will be available at City Hall until 2 p.m.

Ask this question.... Why does Mary Delasandro from Prudential Manor Homes get exclusive real estate deals from the city, she also has the key to the city deal.

It was a great show, will put effort, putting city owned properties back on tax roll is a task, thanks to sponsors and those who participated and attended.

At the expense of the taxpayers. We need jobs and lower taxes to put people into houses. A select group of contractors hand picked to cherry pick the properties is not the answer....You are right about it being a "Great Show"!...empty words and promises will never prosper. Hard work and hard choices are the only way to prosper!
