Boys' volleyball: Spartans roll
Geoff Putnam, Dan Symen and Drew Haughey combined for 19 kills, and Cody Pearer tacked on 26 assists to lift Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake over Mohonasen, 25-11, 25-21, 25-22.
Guilderland defeated Saratoga Springs, 25-8, 25-15, 25-23.
The 0-9 Blue Streaks were led by Jake Sewell’s five blocks and Liam Stewart’s five blocks and three aces.
Jordan Whittemore’s 17 kills, six blocks and six aces powered Niskayuna to a 25-27, 25-23, 26-24, 25-19 win over Colonie.
Josh Miller added nine kills and six blocks for the Silver Warriors.
Bethlehem remained unbeaten (9-0) with a 21-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-18 win over Shenendehowa.
John Sika and Aaron Cark recorded eight and seven kills, respectively, for the Eagles. Josh Olsen (10 kills) and Ryan McSwiggin (nine kills) were the leaders for 7-2 Shenendehowa.
