Boys’ soccer: Tartans 7-0-0

Scotia-Glenville remained perfect in the Foothills Council with a 6-0 win over Queensbury, moving to 7-0-0 in the league.

Eric Denny and Dennis Turner both scored twice, with Denny adding an assist for the Tartans. Country Moran had a goal and an assist, and Adam Ashcroft (one save) and Pat O’Mara (five) split time in net.

Queensbury dropped to 3-4-0 in the Foothills.

C.J. Devito’s first-half goal, assisted by Mike Briceno, stood up for a 1-0 Gloversville win over Glens Falls. Nick Cirillo made 13 saves for the Dragons (2-5-0 Foothills).

Glens Falls (1-6-0, 1-8-0) got eight saves from Gabe Alagna.

Bebeto Roberts scored four goals to lead Schenectady past LaSalle, 5-1, in the Big 10. Zabe Popolizio also scored, and Jhon Rojas handed out three assists. Andrew Cyr made four saves for the Patriots (2-1-3 Big 10, 3-3-3 overall).

Chris Skiba scored for LaSalle (1-5-0 Big 10), and Ben Beury made seven saves.

Lansingburgh scored twice in the second half to beat Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, 3-2, in the Colonial Council. The Knights (2-3-0 Colonial) got goals from Brandon Bombard, Dakota Franklin and Chris Lance, Lance adding an assist. Parker Bristol made seven saves.

Ravena (1-6-1 Colonial) got 11 saves from Tyler Thompson, and both Vincent Grecco and IanCarlos Rueter scored.

Schoharie’s Justin Montione made seven saves to shut out Sharon Springs in a 4-0 Western Athletic Conference win. James Sacket scored twice for the Indians (4-3-1 WAC), and both Chris O’Neill and Will Vedder scored once. Sharon Springs (0-8-0 WAC) got four saves from Vernon Kennedy and two from Kevin Lockenwitz.

Fort Plain’s Chris Hanifin (14 saves) and Middleburgh’s Nick Righi (15) traded saves in a 1-1 draw. Sean Green, assisted by Austin Roney, scored for Middleburgh (2-5-1 WAC). Will Logan scored unassisted for Fort Plain (5-1-2 WAC).

An overtime own-goal gave Mayfield a 3-2 win over Northville. In regulation, Dylan Toscano scored twice for the Panthers (4-3-0 WAC), and Northville (3-3-1 WAC) got goals from Tyler Henderson and Brad VanNostrand.

Ryan Hennessy made three saves for Mayfield, and Tim Monette made 10 stops for Northville.

Ryan Walsh’s goal in the 66th minute kept Loudonville Christian School unbeaten in the Central Hudson Valley League with a 1-1 draw with Doane Stuart.

Loudonville Christian (4-0-3 CHVL) also got five saves from Andre Rollis. Doane Stuart (1-3-2 CHVL) had gone ahead in the 27th minute on a goal from Daniel Sax. Deshawn Speights made 17 saves.
