Mont Pleasant Middle School lockdown lifted after student fight

SCHENECTADY — Mont Pleasant Middle School was briefly placed on lockdown today after a fight between a couple of students, district spokeswoman Karen Corona said this afternoon.
The fight happened just before noon. Details of the fight and whether any arrests were made were not available. The school, though, was placed on lockdown as the situation was sorted out, Corona said.
The lockdown has since been lifted and the school day is continuing as normal, Corona said. It lasted about an hour.
More information is expected to come later this afternoon.
