Blue Bison frustrate Blue Devils, Smith

Shaker, ranked 12th in the state, held Columbia’s outstanding tailback Chris Smith to just 57 yards and blitzed the defending Class AA Liberty Division and sectional runner-up Blue Devils, 47-12, Friday night.

Ryan Griffin scored four touchdowns for the Blue Bison, and Chris Landers tossed a pair of TD passes, one to Michael Lewis and one to Michael Mainella.

Niko Caladim also scored on a 31-yard run for Shaker.

Kyle Buss scored a pair of touchdowns for Shenendehowa, and Corey Acker, Oliver Robinson, Jeremiah Smith, Eric Allen and Ben Hoffman also rushed for scores. Ryan Buss tossed a TD pass to Kyle Buss.

Gallo completed 12 of 20 passes for 211 yards two TD passes for the Dutchmen.
