Clifton Park man discharged weapon outside home, then barricaded himself inside, police say
CLIFTON PARK A man was arrested Thursday after police say he discharged a firearm outside a Waite Road residence while children were in the home. He later barricaded himself in the home.
Francis D. Jubic, 57, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence.
While Saratoga County Sheriff's deputies were investigating a complaint at 643 Waite Road, the defendant discharged the firearm outside the house, according to the report. Deputies safely removed three children and other occupants from the home.
Jubic then barricaded himself in the residence and refused to exit. He was eventually taken into custody, arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
