Congrats. Sounds to me like the City of Schenectady just committed itself to having BOTH a Commissioner AND a Police Chief! Be careful what you wish for!!!!

Don't complain when the union renegotiates this bad idea. We all saw the witch hunt a coupe years ago. Are the people at the Gazette that stupid that they don't see the truth?

The witch hunt that accused police of violating the rights of the accused rapist arrested for DWI. The witch hunt of Mike Brown, the witch hunt of Mike Hamilton and Nick Messere. There are lots of witch hunts by the brass at SPD to cover their own butts.

Witchhunt # 1 -investigation launched because of video tape of officer kicking handcuffed suspect in head - 3 of the 5 officers cleared and returned to work.

Witch hunt # 2 - Convicted at trial

With hunt # 3 - DWI and left the scene of a personal injury accident.

You have a strange definition of witch hunt

And, what were the Brass doing that they had to cover their butts?

Whatever cfield, you don't have a clue, you keep believing the crap the Gazette puts out. Hamilton and Messere did nothing that was out of line. When they were on duty the crack dealers were in hiding. A terrible waste of good cops. When the feds do what they did it's all good.

I don't rely on Gazette for my info. Yuo have a clue? All you do is pass on griping and rumors form disgruntled employees and spout off as if you had some genuine insight into these matters.
