A raised ranch off Grooms Road sustained extensive damage in a house fire this afternoon. The 1:30 p.m. fire started in the kitchen at 11 Pumpkin Lane in a housing development off Exit 8A of the Adirondack Northway. Owner Andrew Rosedale came home to find his house on fire. No one was home at the time. Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Co. responded. Jonesville, Clifton Park, and West Crescent fire departments assisted at the scene.
