According to the American Lung Association, lung cancer is the most preventable type of cancer.
87% to 90% of lung cancer deaths are clearly related to smoking.

Non-smokers do sometimes develop lung cancer, possibly from exposure to secondhand smoke, radon or other environmental carcinogens, but the vast majority of cases are seen in smokers.

Stop smoking is not so easy for people that are products of the 60s and 70s when smoking was acceptable by even the POTUS. AIDS is also preventable but we still spend billions of dollars more than lung cancer. Lung cancer is also a desease that hits people years after they stopped smoking, my wife quit smoking 12 years ago but still died of lung cancer last week, so now what snowgrinch????????
