Work to upgrade the outdated Adirondack Trailways station on lower State Street will begin this fall. The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority released the design for a new bus station Wednesday, which pictures a sleek beige facade that will replace the current drab gray design at 22 State St. Two Schenectady firms are handling the new look. Although this is something that will greatly improve the look of the current bus station, I thought the grand plan was to build a new rail station/bus station combo... what happened to that plan?

unified transportation hub not happening, not realistic for all of those buses to use the train station- out of the way- compared to the current location - and not enough room.

rather boring, drab and uninspired design. what a waste of taxpayer money
