Boys’ soccer: Patriots win

Joe Zarecki and Ben Bellandi scored two goals apiece, and Bellandi set up three goals to lift Broadalbin-Perth past Queensbury, 7-1, in a Foothills Council game.

Tucker Wilcox, Justin Marek and Francesco Mastrocinque had a goal apiece for the Patriots (6-1-1, 8-2-1), and Matt Myers made five saves before Kade Kirby ended his shutout bid with six seconds left.

Eric Denny and Owen Fingar both scored two goals, Denny set up three, and Foothills leader Scotia-Glenville (8-0-0, 11-0-0) remained unbeaten with a 7-2 win over Gloversville.

Michael Fraoli, Dennis Turner and Country Moran also scored for the Tartans. Thomas Kirk scored both goals for Gloversville.

Connor DeSantis turned Nick McBride’s free kick into a goal in the final minute of the first overtime, and Mohonasen edged Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 2-1, in the Suburban Council.

Luke Cameron scored a second-half goal for Burnt Hills, and Mike Korzun tallied in the final minute of regulation for Mohonasen.

Nick Martin’s unassisted goal in the first overtime gave North Div-ision leader Shenendehowa (7-1-2) a 1-0 win over Columbia.

Matt Henning headed in Mike Reverdatto’s corner kick, and Ethan Gunty extended Bethlehem’s lead later in the first half in a 2-0 win over Niskayuna.

Patrick Touhey made 12 saves to preserve an early lead created by Devin Hilson, and Ballston Spa held on for a 1-0 win over Averill Park.

Lucas Phayre-Gonzalez made three saves for Albany (6-0-1), John Rasmussen made six saves for Troy (4-1-1), and the Big 10’s top teams played to a 0-0 tie.

Albany went the final six minutes of regulation and the overtime sessions a player down due to cards.

Chris Skiba delivered both goals in LaSalle’s 2-1 win against Christian Brothers Academy, both coming in the second half. Brandon Bolger scored for the Brothers.

Connor Kilgallon and Taliq Sims supplied the goals, Nick Caruso and Anthony Stewart had the set up feeds, and Amsterdam posted a 2-0 Big 10 win at Catholic Central.

Thomas Macutek made 11 saves, and Shaker scored the final three goals after a tally by Kevin Shaw, in a 3-1 win over Colonie.

Caleb Foard totaled seven saves for the shutout, Isaac Haner and Mike Cannizzo scored second-half goals, and Brady Scott and Eric Krasuski picked up assists, in Mechanicville’s 2-0 Colonial Council win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Ryan Walsh scored a first-half goal, assisted by Ryan Paulsen, and Andrew Rollis made three saves as Loudonville Christian School beat New Lebanon, 1-0, in the Central Hudson Valley League.
