Hear ye! Hear ye! I'm on the same page as you Robert. I'm a school teacher and put up a "Christmas" tree (fake of course) in my classroom every year. And I proudly call it a Christmas tree. Merry Christmas to you!

Our Christmas Parade needs to get back on Black Friday. Despite the fact that there are no stores Downtown. Robert and Muggy are in the majority. They need to stop being so silent as the politically correct crowd continues to trample on tradition.

Because those that are so open and and so called non offensive, all inclusive, are only open and accepting of everything with the exception of Christianity....and the celebration of Christ's Birth.....they are offended by those who are truly open and forgiving to those that persecute them in their belief in Christ....Nothing new...has been since the Miracle Birth of Christ and the Miracle Resurrection that only through Him will anyone find Peace and Eternal Life.....I can see why you would have opposition to this belief and the believers in Christmas.....

I love the fact that people are not offended by porn that is degrading to women and actually responsible for rape in some cases yet are offended by a nativity scene.

Robert Werner just proved himself wrong... he said "we can’t even say “Merry Christmas.”", as he says "Merry Christmas", and nobody stopped him.

The reason for calling it a holiday parade is for inclusion. There's a lot of people who don't celebrate Christmas. It's just divisive not to include them. Some people who celebrate Christmas are all up in arms that their holiday isn't getting as much attention as it used to, and that they have to share the season with others. Even though Christmas still gets top billing by far.

And why wmarincic brings up porn and rape, I have no idea. Porn is actually responsible for the decrease of rape ( ). Rape existed long before porn, and decreased once porn became available.

As far as the nativity scenes... no one is offended by them. As long as they're not on public property, I can't imagine anyone having any issue at all with them. But it's just a symbol of delusion, and while it's a little scary that people actually believe the story, people can believe whatever they want, just keep it away from the common space shared by the public.
