The weekend baseball bat beating of a 14-year-old boy has resulted in the arrest of one man and a search for others, police said. Alexander J. Messina, 20, of 818 Crane St., is accused of hitting the boy in the side of the head with a bat just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning, according to police and court paperwork.
