— State police say frosty pavement and unsafe speed led to a crash that killed a 26-year-old woman in Rensselaer County. Her children, age 5 and 7, were in the vehicle with her but weren’t seriously hurt.

Troopers say Joede Wilbur of Greenwich was found dead at the scene of the crash Monday afternoon around 1:15 on Route 102 in the town of Hoosick. She had lost control of her 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck, which crossed into the opposite lane and overturned off the road.

Her children were taken to a hospital in Bennington, Vt. Police say one of them had a minor injury.

An autopsy has been scheduled for today.
