Wreath-making class scheduled at Moreau park
MOREAU — Moreau Lake State Park, 605 Old Saratoga Road, will offer the following programs:
u A wetland hike is planned from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Participants will take an easy hike around a small wetland and listen and look for wild animals. A park naturalist will lead the hike and offer some facts along the way.
* Grab a pair of binoculars and join park staff on their weekly bald eagle survey from 9:30 a.m. to noon Friday to monitor the birds’ population and health. The park is home to wintering bald eagles.
* A wreath-making class is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Participants will learn how to make a fresh wreath that they can decorate themselves.
* A Turkey Path hike will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27. This moderate hike scales halfway up the Palmertown mountain range and will be led by a naturalist.
Preregistration is required for all the programs. The fee for each program is $2 for adults and children and $1 for seniors. For additional information and to register, call 793-0511.
Bonsai Club open on holiday weekend
WEST CHARLTON — The PFM Bonsai Club, 7 Western Ave., will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Participants can work on their own bonsai. Bring tools, wire and your lunch. Supplies will be available for purchase. There is no charge for workshop time. Assistance will be available.

Crafts from nature focus of program
ALBANY — The Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center, 195 New Karner Road, will offer the program “Nature’s Gifts” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Participants will work with objects found in nature to make a variety of crafts, including twig coasters, pine cone picture frames and leaf prints.
