Schenectady boy, 14, critically injured in beating

SCHENECTADY — A 14-year-old boy was critically injured Sunday after being beaten in Schenectady by two people.
The incident happened in the area of Congress Street and Sixth Avenue sometime late in the morning. The victim was attacked with a blunt object, according to police spokesman Lt. Mark McCracken. The boy was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
Police have not been able to determine a motive and no arrests have been made.
