Schenectady Democrats will continue to hold closed-door meetings without independent Councilman Vince Riggi, the council president said. President Denise Brucker said she plans to use caucus meetings regularly. “It is what it is,” she said. It's politics, pure and simple. Brucker has a well established history of being disrespectful and dismissive of non-Democrats. When Mayor Al was in office, and his staff would speak at committee meetings she would roll her eyes, gasp, sigh - inappropriate behavior for a government official at a public meeting.

In Schenectady, when the Council is 5-1 and the Council Presidnet is unconcerned about being voted out of office (= unaccountable) -this is what you get.
