The action means that the council’s $78 million budget now stands, with a 1.7 percent tax increase and a tax rate of $13.58 per $1,000 of assessed property value. “You don’t need to take other people into consideration. You’re a free man.”......The only "People" Councilman Riggi needs to take into consideration is THE PEOPLE OF SCHENECTADY!......That is the only people Brucker and company should be taking into consideration....not the Gardener or Mc Carthy Democrat Machine.

Either Ms. Brrucker is not articulate in expressing her opinions, or she is incredubly arrogant. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt - she's simply not good at at expressing what she believes.

Not me....She is incredibly arrogant....what she says under her breath and caught on the mic at meetings proves it time and time again...Arrogance plane and simple...too many years...all her life working in the public sector...she is very articulate in expressing her opinions and feelings...very articulate...if she has not learned how to speak yet publicly all these years in public service....it is arrogance..

Time for a Financial Control Board to take over Schenectady's finances. It is obvious Mayor McCarthy and his cohorts (Democrat council members) do not represent the Schenectady taxpayer.

As Ms. Brucker has shown, she has nothing but contempt for Schenectady taxpayers, many of whom are being forced out of their homes because of these annual non-stop tax increases.

Enough is Enough! C'mon Cuomo, appoint a Financial Control Board!

Amen jimquest.....Please bring in the Control Board to stop the abuse of the People of Schenectady at the hands of these arrogant self serving elected officials of the Democratic Council....the Public is the least of their concern..except when it is an election year for them.
