Gloversville shooting leaves woman in critical condition
GLOVERSVILLE Police are investigating a shooting this morning of a woman in her mid-20s inside a residence at 174 Spring St., according to Capt. John Sira.
The victim, whom police would not identify, was in critical condition at Albany Medical Center.
Sira said the shooting occurred at 4:45 a.m.
"We are not releasing a lot of details right now. The investigation is too early to release any information," Sira said.
One neighbor told a reporter that he heard arguing and yelling around midnight at the home.
The area is a residential neighborhood with mostly families living in owner-occupied homes. The home where the shooting occurred appeared to be rented, however.
Investigators and evidence technicians were seen searching several cars that were in the driveway at 174 Spring St.
