I hied myself over to Albany the other day for what might be called Occupy Part 2, and found it a rather subdued affair compared to last fall’s original. No tents, no free food, no sense of changing the world. Just a hundred or so people hanging out trying to recover the old Occupy spirit but having a hard time of it, what with the cops making sure no roots got put down. They weren’t ...

The one question that troubles me is -why are all the top level government seats controlled by the very wealthy? Senators, congressman.state leaders are very wealthy. So in a country of Democracy the 1% minority controls the law making for the 99%'s.

cfield - not necessarily true. There are quite a number who aren't wealthy. But many will be after serving a few terms...

One thing that amazes me is that unions throw their support to and presence at these Occupy events. Remember, the main message of the Occupiers is that Wall Street is evil and greedy, and must be brought down. (Our President high-fives the Occupiers on that one.) Anyway, I'm a union member but I want nothing but the best for Wall Street. Why? Because it's my pension money down there. Those ignorant union folks who are anti-Wall Street are against their own financial futures. Does that make sense?

You can't blame the Occupiers, there just angry, but anyone with an insurance policy, an IRA, an investment of any kind, should want the brokers and traders and investment bankers to get wildly rich. Because when they're getting rich, your financial future is getting rosier. Think about it, and start loving Wall Street.

They should occupy your office and throw you out!
Here you are, , thinking you are so polite. You don't want to interject a sour note? You? You're a bigot and a racist who loves making other people's lives miserable.
