Two descendants of the proprietors of the Sweet Ice Co. in Amsterdam revived the name of the business seven years ago and attached it to an antiques store on Division Street. Waterman Sweet Sr., along with Peter and Victor Martin, started Sweet and Martin (Dealers in Ice) in Fort Johnson in 1919.
