While the term “culture wars” represents a crude oversimplification of one of our present-day political flashpoints, it’s curious that Saratoga County appears to be somewhat in the throes of its own version. The unique aspect of this particular tempest, evidenced by debates over sex education at Shenendehowa and same-sex marriage in the 43rd Senate District, is that it is taking place entirely within the conservative Republican Party..
