Strock's sense of irony is put to good use when he makes note of the comparison of death caused by alcohol and tobacco with marijuana. THen he ties into the uproar and outrage by the media and some of the puritan public with Governor Cuomo's slight change in the law toward marijuana possession.

The Governor doens't go far enough. A regulated, taxed and ceritified system would reduce drug-related crime, lower law enforcement costs and provide jobs to a wide range of workers in a state who's economy is tanking. But those we elect have to trend softly as they lag behind the public sentiment of legalization. It's going to happen how ever too late!

It's still fashionable in the press to feign horror when an athlete or other celebrity gets busted for marijuana possession. My response always is: 'yeah, so?'.

I did write to General Mills when they dropped Michael Phelps from the Wheaties box to tell them I was returning the favor.
