From the picnicking masses watching backyard televisions to the betting types lining the track rails, the Saratoga Race Course was a sea of red baseball caps Sunday afternoon. Identical hats bearing the Saratoga Race Course logo dangled from the belt loops of hair-conscious men, slouched over youngsters’ ears and perched two or three high on the heads of true enthusiasts.
