Man sought in robbery of Amsterdam gas station

AMSTERDAM — City police are looking for a man who robbed the Five Corners Mobil station in Amsterdam Monday night.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray and red long-sleeve T-shirt, long denim shorts, dark socks pulled up to his knees and a black baseball cap with light-colored writing and a dark ski mask.
The man allegedly entered the store at 9:47 p.m. and displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register, police said. He took an undetermined amount of money and ran away.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 842-1100 and ask to speak with a detective. All calls will remain anonymous.
