— The city of Albany will have the blues today -- blues music, that is.

The Alive at Five free summer concert series will continue with Local Blues Night, beginning at 5 p.m. and featuring The George Boone Blues Band, Joe Lowry & The Second Mile Blues Band and Blackboard Blues.

The concerts are held at the Albany Riverfront Park at the Corning Preserve.

Tonight’s show features the winners of the Downtown Albany Local Blues Music Competition. Mayor Jerry Jennings will also pay tribute to legendary Capital Region bluesman Ernie Williams at tonight's concert.
