School aid cuts prod teachers and districts

Of course I am enjoying the flap over lost school aid due to the reluctance of teachers to be evaluated on their job performance. Something that is so elementary in much of the world is revolutionary in the world of public education. What? Measure how well I do my job? Possibly get rid of me if I do it poorly? And hasn't the city of sch'dy so far defaulted on some 1-2 million dollars owed to the school district?

"School Choice" vouchers will fix this problem within 3 years. Goodbye Unions, Goodbye wasted billions in NYS tax dollars, Goodbye bad teachers and Hello a great education for our kids.

Do you want to know why this is not happening? The unions have our representatives in their pockets. We need to fire them all and have term limits. Get rid of these public employee unions that are destroying our country.

I know someone involved in one of the committees to set evaluation standards. The problem has been that State Ed has taken nearly two years just to provide a guideline of what evaluation standards they want met. These committees in districts all over NYS have been meeting and doing nothing because State ED has been dragging their feet.

But you don't want to hear that Karl.Much easier to make teachers the sole villians in this mess than take the time to investigate what is really going on.
