Crossbow hunters need to speak out

When former Gov. David Paterson signed the crossbow bill, it allowed all hunters, regardless of their physical abilities, to hunt big game with a crossbow for the first time, a milestone to say the least. This “generous” crossbow hunting season will end, unless the legislature and Gov. Andrew Cuomo decide to extend it by Dec. 31. So once again, the battle with this bowhunting organization will begin. But apparently, those of us who are in favor of a crossbow season where we do not have to compete with gun hunters have a bit of hope....
