As for the Schenectady County SPCA’s campaign against the Animal Protective Foundation and its Glenville shelter, it’s more war-like than I realized. At first I thought this was just part of a minor kerfuffle between two equally well-intentioned animal welfare organizations. Then I got hold of a letter written by the SPCA founder, Mathew Tully, to the chair of the foundation’s board of directors, which I quoted from the other day, and it gave quite ...

His real job in Afghanistan will probably be prosecuting our own hero soldiers at the word of the enemy. Thats what people like him do best. My daughter will be there in a couple of months in harms way. God bless our soldiers.

Thanks again, Carl. I am not a member of the APF and until now I have never given them a donation, but Tully has encouraged me to do that. He sounds like he has lost it. His letters read like a military manual. We're talking about helping animals but he sounds like he's going to go over to the APF with a Sherman tank and run it over. Let's have a break and then the City, the APF, the Animal Control and the SPCA might be able to sit down and iron out their collective issues in a PRODUCTIVE and non-threatening manner.

Tully is in dire need of professional help. This military commander job has gone way over his head.
We don't want military doctrine in our civilian day to day operations. I just hope his real desire is not to run for office after he gets his notoriety from this campaign set up. What is his long term plan for politics after he returns from the Guard Deployment;
who knows??

I have tried to keep up on this story, and read the "emails" sent back and forth. One question popped into my mind...."what'r you 10!??" Drop the BS and put the attention where its needed most....ON THE ANIMALS! sheesh!

Carl got this one straight. Tully is a bully. Strock needs to ask this carpetbagger why he was advertising on the Tully Rinckey Law Firm website that they were "experts at defending animal abusers" and "had defended numerous animal abusers". Tully also needs to explain why he shows his face at the monthly Domestic Violence Task Force Meetings, pretending he care about domestic violence, but had the cojones to advertise on his website that "domestic violence charges are frivolous" and they can get the batterers charges dropped. The threatening letters he sent to the APF arent the only letters he sent to people. He sent many hostile emails to a former volunteer after she stood up to him and exposed him. Tully said he would destroy her, take her house, car, savings and he would see to it that she lost her job with the county. He said Chris Gardner, county attorney, was stupid and a crappy lawyer and he could make Chris Gardner do anything he wanted. Seems that true after the county caved to Tully after Tully sued the county.
