A Middleburgh man was killed today in a logging accident. Schoharie County sheriff's deputies said Charalambos Ioannou, 57, was working with his 21-year-old son, Panayiotis, to cut trees along the Schoharie Creek that had been damaged by flooding during Tropical Storm Irene. While cutting down a tree, it kicked back and pinned Charalambous Ioannou. His son cut the tree off him and drove him to the edge of Route 145. He was treated at the ...
