Snow blankets region
CAPITAL REGION A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Capital Region as the season's first major snowstorm continues.
Snow plows have been out throughout the night and early morning clearing area roads. Up to a foot of snow or possibly more is expected in some parts of the region.
For the remainder of today, the forecast calls for periods of snow with a high near 30 and winds of 10 to 13 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches is possible, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow showers are likely tonight, mainly before 9 p.m.
Skies are expected to be clear on Friday.
