Police probe Colonie motel robbery

COLONIE — Colonie police are investigating a reported robbery of a Central Avenue motel this afternoon, police said.
The robbery happened just before 12:30 p.m. at the Budget Motel, 1222 Central Ave., police said.
A man, armed with a handgun, robbed the desk clerk and made off with an undetermined amount of cash. The clerk was uninjured.
The suspect is described as a tall and thin man, with a waist-length gray or blue puffy coat. He wore a dark winter mask and dark knit hat, police said.
