— Early Saturday morning a man was shot in the leg outside the Duane Lounge following a fight between two groups.

The Schenectady Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred around 12:47 a.m. in the parking lot of 353 Duane Ave., where the Duane Lounge is located. Officers responded to the scene after receiving calls of multiple shots fired. Shortly after identifying the crime scene, police were notified that a male victim had arrived at Ellis Hospital's McClellan Campus and was being treated for a gunshot wound to his leg.

An investigation indicated that a fight occurred between two groups outside the bar, when a black man wearing a red jacket displayed a gun and fired several rounds into the crowd. At least one of those shots hit Trevor S. Vaughn, 33. The wound was non-life threatening, police said.

Further investigation revealed that at least one of the rounds fired into the crowd hit a house on Duane Avenue.

By Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been made. No additional information was released by police.
