Funny, no quote from any police officers, actually not funny, typical. Never a Thank You just another article by the Gazette that wants to minimize the acts of a criminal. Police Officers are killed almost every day protecting people, where are those stories? Instead this liberal newspaper prints inflamatory quotes from the criminals grandmother. Seriously? Judge Drago, here is your answer, 5 years, no parole and a reminder to take your meds, because the next time, I doubt you will be so lucky....

some day- if not already- a relative will be diagnosed with a mental health issue-
its easy to disregard people you dont personally know and have no compassion for them. And how exactly did the police protect this person who they shot 3 times, ? Not "one time" for self defense- Its amazing he survived. But the bigger question not being asked is- Why must bullets kill anyway? If bullets didnt actually penetrate to kill people, but subdue them instead, our society would be much safer and less violent- police wouldnt need their "killing" guns would they.

tonnijean613 if you knew anything about this case you would know that the police at the time did not give all officers tasers, the police called in the officer that had the taser, as the one oficer went to the locked door to let the officer with the taser in, the suspect charged the other officer with the knife and was shot. I love how you liberals tonijean want to blame the police for the crimes of criminals. If that nutcase was charging you with the knife would you want the police to shoot him or not?
