Chaires to run Hamilton Hill Arts Center

Schenectady’s police chief will ring in the New Year with a new job: running a long-standing arts center on Hamilton Hill. Correction: Chaires never refused to say when he was leaving. While Chaires gave some dates when he would be retiring, it was always qualified with the statement - but no later than the end of the year. That is evidenced by the fact he eliminated a Command Staff position inn the 2013 position. Kathleen should have known that because she was at the budget prep meetings.
