Logger killed when tree falls on him

A 41-year-old Fort Johnson man was killed Friday when a tree he was cutting fell on him, according to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office. James A. Vanderwerker Sr. died about 2:30 p.m. in the woods along an area off of Barlow Road near County Route 125. Sheriff Thomas Lorey said Vanderwerker died instantly when the tree fell on him.
