The woman accused of stealing as much as $500,000 from the Charlton Fire District now has been indicted on tax evasion and fraud charges. Virginia DeCapria, the district’s former secretary-treasurer and the wife of former Fire Chief Dean DeCapria, was indicted Tuesday on 17 charges spanning five tax years. While I find the crimes Ms deCapria allegedly committed ( stealing $500,000 from the fire company) wrong I think charging her with failing to report those stolen funds for the purposes of taxation is reaching I bit. Does the DA charge bank robbers with failling to report those I'll gotten gains on their tax returns?
Maybe instead of trying to find additional charges to bring against this woman the Saratoga DA should be bring charges against the man who took the lives of the two Shen. Students!.
