— A 22-year-old Schenectady resident was arrested after allegedly stealing a limousine from the Saratoga Casino and Raceway Sunday morning.

According to police, Tyler S. Bellick of Glenwood Boulevard had been attempting to circumvent the interlocking breath device in his own vehicle, which had been installed after a prior DWI conviction. When that failed, police say he stole the limousine and crashed it.

Bellick was charged with DWI, fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

He was arraigned Sunday and sent to the Saratoga County Jail.

According to wire reports, the limousine was occupied by about a dozen members of a bachelorette party when Bellick jumped into the vehicle. One of the women took action, shifting the vehicle out of drive, and Bellick fled on foot before being caught.

Earlier this year, Bellick admitted to one misdemeanor count of third-degree assault and an unrelated charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated after an incident in Plattsburgh.

The Schenectady High School graduate acknowledged that he made two soda bottle bombs using toilet cleaner and aluminum and then threw them onto the front porch of an off-campus sorority house at SUNY Plattsburgh in June. One of the bottles left a resident of the house with a concussion and hearing damage after it detonated near where she was standing.

Bellick is the son of former Schenectady school board member Linda Bellick. Tyler Bellick's father, Thomas, is chairman of the Union-Nott Democratic Committee.

No jail time for bombing a sorority house and severely injuring a girl?
