SCHENECTADY A report says pop star Justin Bieber was the target of a convoluted murder-for-hire plot that ended with an arrest late last month in Rotterdam.
Citing court documents, the Las Cruces Sun-News reported Wednesday that Justin Bieber was the target of the plot.
Tanner D. Ruane, 23, appeared Nov. 28 in Schenectady County Court with his public defender, Lauren Mack and agreed to be extradicted to New Mexico.
Mack initially indicated Ruane wanted to fight extradition. Ruane, however, indicated he’d changed his mind. After a brief recess to discuss it further with Mack, he confirmed his new decision to return to New Mexico.
Ruane was arrested in late November by state police at the Pilot Travel Center on Route 7 as he waited for money and to allegedly continue the plot along with his uncle, Mark Staake, 41.
