UAlbany vs. Canisius: Lowrie's threes spark Great Danes

— Lindsey Lowrie scored 21 points on a career-high seven three-pointers to lead the University at Albany women’s basketball team to a 65-43 victory over Canisius in a non-conference game at Koessler Athletic Center.

The Great Danes, who have now won five straight, are 7-2. Canisius falls to 2-5.

The Great Danes shot 48.3 percent from the floor in the second half and held Canisius to just 29.5 percent shooting for the game. UAlbany also forced 28 Canisius turnovers.

The Great Danes took a 26-15 halftime lead and build a 42-23 advantage with 12:14 left.

Senior Julie Forster added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Great Danes, while Ebone Henry scored 10 points and made four steals.
