Schenectady school district gets $2.45M Race to the Top grant

The Schenectady City School District is receiving a $2.45 million grant to create a health center at Lincoln Elementary School and offer extra academic help for students, the state Education Department announced today. The School Innovation Fund grant award from the state’s Race to the Top funding is provided to districts to increase high school graduation rates and students’ college and career readiness.
