Dennis Drue’s lawyer maintains Drue wasn’t drunk when he was involved in a horrific Northway crash that killed two popular Shenendehowa High School athletes last weekend.

Attorney Stephen Coffey, who was retained Monday by Drue, didn’t deny that his client had consumed alcohol on the evening of the accident. But he declined to comment on any of the events leading up to Saturday’s fatal collision, other than to say Drue was not intoxicated.

Not drunk?????? Can't even find the words to contest that! Whether he was or wasn't what excuse is he giving for driving erratically with no regard for anyone's lives on the road that evening.

You are probably right, but the wise thing to do is let the facts emerge and reserve comments til later. None of us know all the variables that led to that tragic moment. And we may never. In the meantime, pray for the victims and their loved ones.
