Students came to Shenendehowa High School East on Sunday seeking solace from counselors and bearing tokens of affection to place in a memorial for fellow classmates Christopher F. Stewart and Deanna A. Rivers, who lost their lives in a two-vehicle crash on the Northway Saturday night. I can't even imagine the pain and suffering the families of these two bright and beautiful young people are experiencing. I can't even fathom what it would be like to bury your child... my heartfelt sympathies to both families. Indeed, wmarincic... a tragedy.

My mom buried my sister and my best friend buried his son. The personal devastation is beyond description !! May all involved in this tragedy find some mercy somewhere.

This is just so painful to read. I cannot even imagine the level of grief for the family and friends of these students.

This is sad. Especially when the young driver was said to be in compliance with the Vehicle and Traffic laws. These two teenagers appear to have been very good young members the community with bright futures.

Another media outlet is reporting that the driver off the other vehicle tested positive for alcohal, but the BAC was not stated.
