Gilboa dam work under way

The agency that oversees New York City’s water supply is resuming flood control work on a key upstate dam. The city Department of Environmental Protection says a three-week project will install at least one of two planned “siphons,” steel pipes that will be used to draw water out of the Gilboa Dam reservoir.
